I understand that OLD BOND fans and NEW BOND fans do not mix well, but as far as ferocious goes……please review the mitchell and slate, fight scenes…..because, as far as your comment goes, you are SORELY mistaken.

The only ferocity of Quantum’s fights was in the pit bull that was apparently mauling the cameraman’s balls during each shot.

Call me old fashioned, call me crazy, but I prefer fight scenes in which I can actually tell what the hell is going on.

…..well…..it’s a BOND FILM! Look, your new argument is valid for a Transformers fight scene where it was difficult to differentiate what robot was delivering the beat down. However, when it comes to a film where there is a CLEAR protagonist…..it is a bit weak.
- Regardless, I will respect your opinion and say…..maybe, they put too much of the FRESH martial-arts into the scenes, to make it realistic, for the modern day trained killers.

The argument against crappy editing is perfectly valid for a fight with humans. In a fight scene, I want to be able to see who’s doing what, not just see a jumble of incomprehensible images that ends with one guy standing victorious. The style and quality of fight scenes has varied, but for a good fifty years they’ve at least been coherent. The recent introduction of epileptic seizure-cam is a complete failure and needs to stop NOW.

Yes, you are right. Horrible editing makes for an unproffessional and distracting fight scene. There is nothing better than a ferocious fight scene, with clear editing….
I would recommend one film that you, OBVIOUSLY, have not seen……..Quantum of Solace (-:

Nice list. Some commentary would have been nice, and also, where was the hospital fight in Never Say Never Again? That should have been in the top 5.
